The housing initiative that Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, has announced today will result in the construction of more than 3,000 residential units in Dubai. The program, one of the massive investments with AED 5.4 billion (around $1.47 billion), is an important step forward toward improving the quality of life for Emirati families, especially young couples.

In turn, this is part of the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Program, which encourages family stability and community welfare. It will include priority in housing assignments for participants in the Dubai Weddings Initiative, which motivates Emirati youth to marry and settle. Quality housing projects will be provided for couples, with a focus on meeting demands from their first baby steps together in life.
According to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this is realizing a dream that every Emirati family may have a dignified roof over [its] head, and ultimately enable young men and women to build decent and fruitful lives. He added that he along with Hind bint Maktoum, Hamdan bin Mohammed, and Maktoum bin Mohammed promised to foster prosperity and wellbeing among the UAE citizens.
