Dubai Visa Rejections Surge Due to Stricter UAE Policies

As per the latest study conducted by Atlys, the visa-processing platform, Dubai visa rejections have seen a sharp rise of 62% due to the introduction of a stricter visa policy in the UAE. This policy was designed to prohibit fraudulent applications, which have mostly impeded applicants from countries such as Pakistan and India.

Now, these applicants have relatively difficult checks under the system, leaving them prone to a higher chance of having their applications denied. Stricter measures aimed to alleviate the complaints on the inflow of foreign job seekers into Dubai.

The visa processing delays are even longer, and it can now take up to two days. In addition to this, authorities in UAE have taken further measures and a more strenuous engagement requirement from applicants. A report recently showed that as many as 71 percent of visa rejection cases are simply because of incomplete and incorrect papers.

Some of the common issues include not meeting new requirements, poor quality of passport photographs, incorrect images submitted, and absence of proofs like return flight or hotel reservations. Applicants are advised to ensure the correctness and sufficiency of their documents so as to avoid delays or rejection.
