President Asif Ali Zardari of Islamabad received the presentation of credentials from the Ambassadors of Romania, Somalia, Nepal, Japan, and Bangladesh. The President received credentials from the Ambassador-designate of Romania Dan Stoenescu, Ambassador-designate of Somalia Sheikh Nur Mohamed Hassan, Ambassador-designate of Nepal Ms. Rita Dhital and Ambassador-designate of Japan Akamatsu Shuichi and High Commissioner-designate of Bangladesh Md. Iqbal Hussain Khan.
President Zardari congratulated the envoys on their appointment and expressed the hope that they would enhance bilateral relations with Pakistan in trade, economy, and culture.

Subsequently, the new envoys received a guard of honor from a contingent of Pakistan Armed Forces upon their arrival at the President’s House, Islamabad.
In fact, a new ambassador has been appointed to enhance relations with Pakistan and the cabinet meeting on the issue stated that relations between the countries would be a new beginning as Bangladeshi authorities are now ending 100% scanning of exports to Bangladesh from Pakistan and their will be no special desks for Pakistani passport holders at the airport. Pakistan is also reciprocating positively; Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is expected to visit Dhaka in February.
