Faisal Vawda Warns of PTI Ban Amid Internal Discord

Senator Faisal Vawda has warned that there will likely be a ban on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party if protests in Islamabad by disgruntled PTI officials persist. He also slammed the leadership regarding their decisions vis-a-vis the controversial incidents of May 9, expressing concern for the party’s future.

He regretted the handling of the protest by PTI, claiming that demanded the course to D-Chowk when a peaceful gathering could have been staged at Sangjani-the insistence on D-Chowk would needlessly fuel jingoism. The dignity of the party could have been saved by an alternative course of action, according to Vawda. In a manner of speaking, the organized riot was “a task fit for vultures.”

In a shocking disclosure, Vawda pointed fingers at Bushra Bibi, wife of the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, as the very reason for the current insurgence in the affairs of the party. He alleged that the party leaders were blaming her for the tempest, saying, “All PTI leaders share the view that this one woman has caused significant issues for the party.” He added that Bushra Bibi insisted on leading the march to D-Chowk but fled the scene during the security operation, leaving protesters vulnerable.

These remarks came from Vawda during the reports of Bushra Bibi being moved to an unknown location in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Confirming the shifting was Maryam Riaz Wattoo, sister to Bushra Bibi, who stated that communication with the former first lady has been limited. Maryam mentioned that Bushra Bibi was unwilling to leave the protest but was compelled to do so after the situation escalated.

In the meantime, he claimed, he was trying to guard Imran Khan, alleging that his life is intruded by close associates. He said he would always remain quite loyal to the chief, emphatically declaring continuing efforts to safeguard the prince’s interests.

Increased uncertainty, Vawda reported observing widening cracks within PTI, “”The organization is breaking into different factions of founders, new leaders, and influential families,” he added. He had quite a few things to say about such leadership beyond Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and claimed that most of them had personal pursuits while Imran is in prison.

The political scenario is still heating up because of the announcement of the authorities regarding the strict actions that would be taken against the detained PTI workers who were active in the latest protests. All eyes are on the party’s future in these intense, dynamic developments as the internal crisis within PTI continues to unfold.
