Federal minister Rana Tanveer Hussain has instructed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to install electric vehicle charging stations at all petrol pumps in Islamabad. The minister issued during the fourth meeting of the Electric Vehicles Policy.

He appreciated the CDA for its performance and announced that the top 120 students of the Federal Board would receive electric bicycles free of cost. Also, 39000 electric bicycles and 1900 electric rickshaws will be released under subsidized loans.
The minister further reviewed efforts toward the construction of 40 charging stations all over the motorways and national highways so that the whole process becomes digitized for the purpose of ensuring transparency. Further, the federal minister was saying that under the vision of the Prime Minister, Islamabad would be made into a model city.
