It is said that the GPEI has highly praised the strenuous and determined efforts of the Government of Pakistan in polio eradication, and certainly the strategic approach it has involved with commitment has paid off. This delegation visited Pakistan for the second time; it met with Dr. Malik Mukhtar Bharath, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on National Health Services, and Ayesha Raza Farooq, the Prime Minister’s Focal Person for Polio Eradication.

The ongoing deliberation on the execution of the strategic National Emergency Action Plan (NEAP), which aims to reverse the increasing polio incidences in the country, was highlighted by Dr. Malik Mukhtar Bharath. He went on to say that the most focused measures taken by the Government are yielding significant progress against the virus. Ayesha Raza, Supported by the “one-team” concept of revitalization-emphasized delivering data-driven and local adaptation strategies to elevate the quality of polio vaccination programs in the country.
Such patient servants also got kudos from the GPEI for their personal dedication and the efforts of these teams under strenuous working conditions and lent motivational words to continue in that endeavor.
