On Friday, the Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, has said that the ruling elite is trying to make the country a no-go zone for political activists.
Rehman was talking to a press conference in Lahore when he said that all political parties had the right to protest in Islamabad, insisting that the people of Pakistan were the real stakeholders of the nation.

“Increasing our problems, you are pushing peaceful citizens to violence by arming them,” he said.
