Haris Rauf, Pakistan’s star right-arm pacer, was nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month Award in November after his brilliant performances that saw Pakistan register a historic victory in ODIs in Australia.
Rauf was one crucial element of Pakistan’s first ODI series victory on Australian soil after 22 years. He booted a fiery three-wicket haul in Melbourne, but it was actually the series-leveling five-wicket haul in the second ODI that put the icing on the cake for him. In the last ODI, Rauf added another two wickets to his tally and finished as the leading wicket-taker for the series with 10 scalps at an amazing economical rate of just five. His heroics, however, ended up helping Pakistan achieve a grueling victory by 2-1 in the series.

Rauf transferred his red-hot form to the ongoing T20I series in which he collected five wickets, including a phenomenal four-wicket haul in the second match. Against Zimbabwe, Rauf helped by getting another three wickets during three ODIs, thus finishing November on a very impressive tally of 18 across formats.
His consistent brilliance throughout the month has now earned Haris Rauf a well-deserved ICC Men’s Player of the Month nomination putting him in contention for global recognition of his outstanding contributions to Pakistan’s success.
It is not just a matter of skill, but this also reflects Rauf’s growth as one of the most consistent and promising match-winners in world cricket today.
