The International Cotton Association (ICA) has now kept 84 Pakistani textile mills on its defaulter’s list and stopped them from doing any international business.
The mills did not fulfill the cotton purchases agreement as agreed. The ICA had directed its members not to transact any business with the ones included in the list. Most of the mill defaulters are basically from Karachi and Lahore, while some are from Faisalabad, Multan, Hyderabad, Kasur, and Gadoon, according to local media reports today.

Many mills are partially or completely shut down.
