Imran Khan Faces 188 Cases Amid Ongoing Legal Challenges

The former prime minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan now faces challenges against the total number of cases against him, which counts 188 as of Friday according to Dunya News.

According to a report from the Ministry of Interior, 74 cases are registered against Khan in Islamabad, while 99 cases are against him in Punjab. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where his party is in power, two cases have been filed.

In addition, the cricket-turned-politician faces seven inquiries by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and three cases in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) courts.

In addition, the revelation of the aforementioned report indicates that a case is still pending before the court of Khan against his previous conviction in the Toshakhana case, citing new charges laid against him as a consequence of PTI protests in October, November, and December.

This detailed report was presented to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) by the Interior Ministry after a request made by Khan’s sister, Noureen Niazi.
