Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister, asked whether PTI’s protest was political or planned as a deliberate conspiracy against the dignity and honor of the country. In a statement issued on Sunday, he asked why PTI repeatedly called for protests on the days of major visits of international personalities to Pakistan. He mentioned that a very special visit was made by the Prime Minister of China on October 14, whereas heads of state are arriving for the SCO Summit on October 15-16. Also, there is a visit from the President of Belarus starting Monday, with ministers and important business figures touching Islamabad on Sunday.

Dar said these protests do leave serious imprints on important diplomatic engagements and create a poor image of Pakistan worldwide. He accused PTI of sacrificing national interests for their political interests, creating headaches and potential diplomatic fallout. The Deputy Prime Minister appealed to PTI to spare his country from what he termed petty politics and urged them to think about the bigger picture in their actions.
The Deputy Prime Minister also pointed out that these protests had economic implications, which disrupted business activities and created uncertainty among investors. He further added that such activities strike a lethal blow to foreign investment and to the economic outlook of Pakistan. Dar urged PTI to be responsible and avoid actions that damage the country’s reputation and economic stability.

Dar has also said all this alongside some other things concerning the politics around. He urged all parties to come together for the betterment of the nation. It is about uniting and cooperating with each other to do things rather than indulging in actions that subsequently destroy the unity in a country. Talks by the Deputy Prime Minister echo the government’s disquiet at what the PTI’s protests would do to the long-term impact of civil society on the international and economic stability of Pakistan.
