Ishaq Dar to Attend ECO Meeting in Iran

Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs will visit Mashhad, Iran, for a two-day official visit to attend the 28th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization.

The Deputy Prime Minister will talk about Pakistan’s commitment to the charter of the ECO and how it can develop rail and road networks, liberalize visa regimes, and simplify border procedures to connect the region even more through increased connectivity.

Ishaq Dar will also reiterate Pakistan’s concerns over hostilities in the Middle East which most jeopardize regional peace and security, and he will sign the Charter for ECO Clean Energy Center. In addition to this, the Deputy Prime Minister will hold meetings with participating ministers and other dignitaries on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting.
