According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Islamabad temperatures slipped down to -1 degrees Celsius on Tuesday morning. The whole day is possibly going to be very cold and dry, as the very cold conditions were evident during the early hours of the day.
The minimum temperatures recorded all over Pakistan reflect a cold wave affecting the country. Leh reported -13°C, Skardu and Gupis recorded -7°C, Kalam and Kalat saw -6°C, and Gilgit, Astore, and Quetta experienced -5°C. Other notable readings include Dir and Malam Jabba at -4°C, Hunza at -3°C, Islamabad at -1°C, and Murree at -2°C.

Cities with fairly low temperatures report, of which Lahore has 6°C, Karachi has 11°C; Peshawar, 3°C; Faisalabad, 5°C; Multan, 6°C; and Muzaffarabad has 2°C.
On the next day, Islamabad is expected to have an unsettled weather pattern. The skies might turn partly cloudy to clear with lows of -1 degrees Celsius and 2 degrees Celsius during the night and early morning. Therefore, humidity levels are expected to go as high as 91%, with possible light fog in isolated areas. The day will remain cold and dry with a slight chill, especially in shaded and open areas.
