In an emotional open letter, Javed Badar, who was the media coordinator of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) earlier, has apologized publicly to Nawaz Sharif, President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) because he spread “false and slanderous narratives” during his stint with the Imran Khan-led party.
Badar pours his heart out with regret into seeking forgiveness from Nawaz Sharif, his family, and his party, but reveals that the apology comes from a personal cause and fear of God. “This letter is written purely out of fear of the hereafter and the voice of my conscience, without any pressure or temptation,” he clarified.
Badar has confessed to fabricating and propagating false propaganda against the reputation of Nawaz Sharif and the family. He further criticized the lodging of false cases against Nawaz which landed him in jail saying, “Ay Allah’s Justice has restored Nawaz Sharif’s honor and position.”

Speaking about what drove him to leave PTI, Badar pointed out incidences like Usman Buzdar being appointed chief minister of Punjab and the so-called corrupt practices under the influence of Bushra Bibi, Imran Khan’s wife. “I left PTI when corruption was openly allowed under Bushra Bibi’s watch,” he wrote.
He accuses the PTI administration of emptying the national treasury while bringing international relations into disrepute and instigating a revolt against the military. But on the other hand, he lavished praise on Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for their leadership and effort to bring stability and improve terms with foreign countries.
Badar also apologized to the nation and parents of the young PTI supporters, saying, “The party misled youth and disturbed them by politics.” “We in PTI have poisoned Pakistani politics and confused young minds-a mistake for which we will pay the price for generations,” he confessed.
Badar confirmed that the letter was to be regarded as genuine over a news channel and that his past deeds would be solely responsible for him. And even he wanted to meet Nawaz Sharif personally for an apology. “If I ever meet Nawaz Sharif, I will admit my mistakes to him directly,” he said.
