Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, has disclosed that the Jinnah Avenue F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchange underpass will be completed in 42 outstanding days. CDA, however, confirmed that 75% of the job is finished, and the project is on track to be opened for traffic on December 25.
Early morning surprise visit by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa to the site of the underpass to see how the construction was going. He was happy to judge the pace with which the work was going on quality but said that it needs to keep its pace to be completed in time.

“This is a record-breaking time, and we’re going to do it. At the same pace as work is going on underpass flyover work has been underway for on-time completion,” Chairman Randhawa told the press while issuing directives to consultants and resident engineers on ensuring high-quality construction work against the timelines set.
During the field visit, project officials gave briefings to Chairman Randhawa on important milestones attained that include the completion of 70 out of a total of 74 piles for the interchange while work under the underpass girders is in the last phases with concrete work for the underpass bed nearing completion.
With construction moving at a quick pace, the Jinnah Avenue Interchange promises to be the epitome of efficiency and innovation in the development of urban infrastructure.
