These days people face vibrant traffic disturbance as Karachi Protests sit-ins by Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) against the Parachinar crisis continue for the ninth consecutive day on Wednesday.
Currently, there are seven locations across the city where protests are organized with MWM and ASWJ (Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat) joining their protests yesterday.
According to traffic police, Numaish Chowrangi has been shut completely along with both tracks from Abul Hasan Isphahani Road to Abbas Town under closure.

However, the route from Guru Mandir to Numaish is open, while the two tracks between Kamran Chowrangi and Mosamiyat are blocked, as is the road from Water Pump to Ancholi. Even University Road adjacent to Safari Park is affected by a sit-in, while that of Gulbai to Paracha Chowk is closed, whereas the opposite track remains open. The same goes for the route from Orangi Town Road to Banaras.
Sindh government spokesperson Sadia Javed said Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah offered to facilitate them in a single location for their protest. She condemned the violence that occurred yesterday when a group of protesters threw stones and gathered on the motorcycles while damaging a check post at Numaish Chowrangi. Tear gases were then used by the police.
Violators Javed warned that “FIRs would be filed against them for assaulting police and vandalizing property.” The CM has asserted the same for legal action against those igniting the vehicles. Ongoing efforts to resolve the issue include engagement with MWM and ASWJ representatives by the government.
