The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Apex Committee has decided that both parties in the Kurram conflict should hand over their arms and ammunition within 15 days. It was decided in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, including Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Corps Commander Peshawar, and other officials present.
January 1 was set for finalizing plans for weapon disposition through both sides. By that date, it will also be required to destroy the bunkers in a conflict zone. Land routes will be partially opened at intervals on humanitarian grounds and will be highly secured by police and FC personnel for the time being. An exclusive air service will address the mobility issues.

The reimposition of route restriction occurs in cases of violence. Sectarian hatred-promoting accounts in social media will be closed. Also noted were security concerns in Tirah and Jani Khel arising from terrorism. Temporary relocations may be arranged for security.
The dispensation made it clear that Kurram conflict resolution is a national priority, condemning any political leveraging of the situation. The committee, however, nourished hope for collaboration to allow harmony to prevail for future generations in addition to alleviating human suffering in local populations.
