The winter holiday schedule of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has been released for session 2024-2025 for public and private educational institutions in the province.
The Elementary and Secondary Education Department launched the notification on December 16, 2024.

Below is the vacation schedule according to the variations of the region:
- Summer Zone/Plain Area: From 22nd December 2024 to 31st December 2024-winter vacations-a total of 10 days.
- Winter Zone/Hilly And Snowy Areas: Educational institutions of this region will observe an extended winter from December 22, 2024, till February 28, 2025-two months.
The notification was signed by the Secretary of the Elementary and Secondary Education Department and sent to all relevant officials, including the commissioners district education officers, and school authorities. This was done keeping in mind the different climates of the province, ensuring that a student from the colder area stays indoors during these harsh winter months.
