Under the ‘Chief Minister’s Youth Empowerment program for tourism and for the construction of extra rooms for tourists alongside the house, youth living in tourist areas get loans. Beneficiaries can also get loans up to Rs. 3 million, which also empowers women to start their business activities.

In December 2024, the KP government started a new scheme ‘Ehsaas Apna Ghar Scheme,’ which provides up to Rs. 1.5 million interest-free for the housing needs of low-income families in the province. To implement the scheme, an MoU was signed between the Housing Department and the Bank of Khyber. The initial launching ceremony, graced by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, included cabinet members Dr. Amjad Ali Khan and Muzammil Aslam, as well as officials from various pertinent departments and the Bank of Khyber.
The financial assistance provided under this program is for the construction of new houses, renovation, or extension of existing ones. This program was allocated an amount of Rs. 4 billion for its operations and will offer a simple seven-year repayment plan for its loans, with a maximum monthly installment of Rs. 18,000 for the sake of affordability. People will qualify for this scheme if they own land, and the scheme will run for the next seven years, maintaining its operation as a revolving fund.
