It is said that Israel’s activities in Syria are not likely to influence the situation stabilization, according to the Kremlin, which said this after Israel seized the de-militarized buffer zone in the occupied Golan Heights. Peskov, Kremlin spokesman, said that strikes and actions in Golan Heights are not contributing to stability in an already destabilized Syria.
According to Peskov, Moscow would wish to see stabilization in Syria as soon as possible. He mentioned that Russia is keeping a close eye on and establishing contacts with those in control on the ground. Due to the presence of Russian bases and diplomacy in the region, he mentioned the necessity of this. He further stated that while the past witnessed efforts advanced by Russia to stabilize Syria, the current challenges are not easy.
