The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has revealed that it seeks to redesign the G1 Market, Johar Town, for a better commercial area and infrastructure.
LDA DG Tahir Farooq and Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza on Saturday visited the site to take the proposal for remodeling under consideration.
They received a thorough briefing on the project to gain perspectives on how it would end up turning the market into a contemporary commercial hub.

The remodeling will be phased; phase one will bea controlled parking facility and improving walkways with existing infrastructures. These are intended to facilitate accessibility, organization, and usability in the market by consumers and owners alike.
LDA is also interested in other facilities to enhance the general functioning of this part of the commercial zone. At the same time, this is aligned with the broader goal of the authority to transform the major parts of Lahore into modern urban areas creating an enabling environment for stimulating economic growth and urban development.
