As per the announcements of Dr. Muhammad Tanveer Kalyar, Deputy Director of Livestock and Dairy Development Sargodha, the Punjab government is going to announce interest-free loans up to Rs. 270000 for the livestock farmers in Punjab, and the allocation has been made for an amount of Rs 11 billion.
Cattle owners having valid CNIC cards registered and activated mobile phone SIMs in their name, and between five to ten male calves would be eligible for loans ranging from Rs. 135,000 to Rs. 270,000 over the period of four months. Facility desks are set up in all livestock hospitals for the sake of assistance in applying through the livestock card initiative app for farmers.

Farmers can also apply for bait by sending an SMS “PLC (space) ID card number” to 8070. They may call at their nearest animal hospital or department at 080009211 for further information.
