In Multan’s Sital Mari locality, a senior citizen lost his life following an alleged assault by a traffic warden. As per the relatives of the deceased, the warden wanted a bribe for granting him some Alan mauka chalan. It is alleged that the warden attacked the elderly man when he refused to pay him, which caused him to sustain serious injuries that led to his death. A representative of the traffic police department has refuted the accusations of the use of force. They confirmed that the man asked for a driving license and not bribes and said a fee of Rs. 2,000 was termed as the license fee. The police have since taken the body of the deceased to Nishtar Hospital for a post-mortem. In order to establish the truth regarding this unfortunate event, measures have also been taken to help out with the ongoing investigation.
