In the last nine months, Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said, there have been all positive economic signs as all the key indicators are going in the right direction. Addressing a press conference in Lahore, she announced that inflation fell from 35% to 4.9% under the PML-N government.
“People find employment whenever the PML-N government is in power,” she said, while adding that inflation is currently in its lowest ebb in six years. Aurangzeb stressed the continuation of improved economic indicators along with improvements from industrial growth to enhancement. She also highlighted government programs for alleviation such as the recent grant of scholarships to 30,000 students.

The minister now says that in addition, the government of the last nine months has also made some successful efforts against the smog, resulting from the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in March. Also, there was a revelation that 1,000 brick kilns and 219 industrial units were closed for the prevention of pollution. “We are working towards a very comprehensive strategy before the next smog season,” she said.
