The Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched the ‘Suthra Punjab‘ Programme, with the aim to making the province clean and devoid of waste in three months.
She had argued on inauguration that cleanliness was part of faith and announced to implementation integrated waste management system throughout Punjab.
She slammed recent PTI protests and called them aggravators of armed agitations as opposed to peaceful demonstrations since resulted in the death of one policeman and four Rangers, apart from injuring 170 more officers. “Show us a single video of your injured protesters,” she screamed, alleging PTI protesters used direct gunfire during the unrest.

Then Maryam introduced compensation packages for the victims, which included benefits of Rs 29 million for the family of the deceased constable, and Rs 1 million for each injured officer.
She’s also assured the crowd about the progress of Punjab in terms of development with promises of 100,000 new job opportunities and modernized and upgraded infrastructure.
