A meeting under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al-Zaabi, as agenda ‘Mutual interests and strengthening bilateral ties’.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached on establishing a Punjab-UAE working group that would serve to reinforce cooperation in areas such as economic engagement, development projects in Punjab, and tourism promotion.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz invited UAE investors to consider investment options in Punjab, promising them favorable incentives and an environment facilitative for investment. Furthermore, she recognized the contributions of the UAE to developmental sectors in countries including Pakistan, and highly appreciated infrastructural services such as health, education, and energy.
In addition to praising ongoing advancement initiatives, and climate change measures by Punjab, Ambassador Al-Zaabi congratulated Maryam Nawaz on her successful completion of a visit to China. He reiterated the UAE’s strong commitment to supporting the sustainable vision of Pakistan and re-stated its focus on additional projects in the country on the ground.

“We value the UAE’s assistance in critical sectors and are eager to strengthen cooperation in agriculture, technology, and green energy,” said Maryam Nawaz. She underscored the strong ties that both share with the reason built between Pakistan and the UAE on trust and respect and have a similar vision to regional stability and prosperity.
Ambassador Al-Zaabi stated the fact that it desired a great Pakistan and was going to stand by both the government and the populace on this journey. He expressed great confidence in developing sustainable growth through public-private partnerships with the Punjab government.
