carried out by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif would make her the first-ever woman chief minister of the province to visit China. This is on a special invitation by the ruling Communist Party of China. Her official visit is from December 8 to December 15.
During the eight-day tour, Maryam will be accompanied by a delegation. The major cities included in the itinerary are Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangdong.
This invitation is meant to strengthen the bond between the ruling party of China and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and develop strong connections between the two countries.

This visit is based on collaborative efforts in areas like information technology, healthcare, industry, smog management, and changes due to climate. The talks will also focus on improving the business and trade ties between Punjab and China.
Maryam Nawaz would be apprised of the development model and governance system of China while meeting senior leaders and officials of China about bilateral cooperation.
