Mehmood Khan Achakzai emphasized that peaceful protest is a basic right of every citizen within the country. Achakzai spoke on Thursday in favor of the basic tenets that “rule of law and supremacy of the constitution shall lead to the progress of the nation.”
“Whoever wishes to claim loyalty to this state must honor it with an allegiance to the constitution, as it is the sole remedy to all ills bearing upon our heads,” he said, referring to those who raised concerns over recent developments in politics.

The seasoned politician also took a swipe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and its founder, Imran Khan, that no matter how one disagrees with regard to his leadership, it must not be forgotten that millions in Pakistan voted for him. “Whether you consider Imran Khan good or bad, he was elected by millions of Pakistanis,” Achakzai remarked.
It is very easy to make panic or create fear with the crescents or intonations of a conspiracy. Such will not damage the country at all. In these conditions, Pakistan is significantly capable of overcoming all its crises if all institutions operate within the domain of the constitution. Pakistan has to be united and get its citizens to adopt democratic principles.
