Tarar accuses Murad Saeed of inciting unrest during PTI protests

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said on Sunday that the department would hold accountable those involved in the violence on 24 November against the protests of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the capital.

“Weathering the storm with Ali Nasir Rizvi, IG Islamabad, and Khurram Ali Agha, Secretary Interior, that particular day said,” all prepared by Tarar.

He claimed Saeed led unruly PTI crowds towards D-Chowk to attack the capital before seeking refuge in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s House.

The PTI used a lot of media propaganda to cover up its failure to attract large crowds. As per intelligence reports, the party planned violence at the protests, he put forth. “Has anyone ever seen weapons in the hands of peaceful protesters anywhere in the world?”

He even revealed that 37 Afghan nationals were among the PTI protestors and added that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have rejected PTI’s call for protests as a mark of their disapproval of what he dubbed a politics of chaos.

In the meanwhile, Secretary Interior Khurram Ali Agha praised the security institutions for exercising restraint and handling the violent demonstrators effectively.
