New Gwadar Airport is about to commence flights to Muscat, and it’s a big leap towards opening up avenues in the region. The first flight is set for January 10, 2025. According to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the development will bring prosperity and new job opportunities to the region.

This state-of-the-art airport, built under the flagship project of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), would be handling up to 400,000 passengers annually, as per officials. The new route is expected to promote trade, tourism, and economic activity between Gwadar and Muscat, further ingraining Gwadar in the regional and global economy.
