NHA Increases Toll Tax on Motorways and Highways 3rd Time in 7 Months

It is the National Highway Authority (NHA), which has raised the toll taxes on motorways and highways for the third time in seven months. The new rates will come into effect on January 5, 2025, and will be used by the NHA to achieve its revenue target of Rs102 billion in FY2024-25 against the Rs64 billion collected in FY2023-24.

Below is the revised toll rate list:

Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M1): For Cars, the new toll will be Rs500 (the old was Rs460).
Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway (M3): For Cars, the new toll will be Rs700 (old was Rs650).
Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad-Multan Motorway (M4): For Cars, the new toll will be Rs950 (the previous toll was Rs850).
Multan-Sukkur Motorway (M5): For Cars, the new toll is Rs1,100 (earlier it used to be Rs1,050).
National Highways: Cars’ toll increased from Rs50 to Rs60.

These increases are made part of the government revenue-generating policy to maintain and develop better infrastructure.
