Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub has announced that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is open for dialogue with all political stakeholders.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad on Thursday, Ayub revealed that a dedicated committee has been constituted by the PTI founder to hold talks and make decisions with respect to this issue. “We are ready to engage with everyone; the PTI founder has constituted a very powerful committee to initiate dialogue,” stated Ayub.
While talking to the media, he clarified that he had not visited the National Assembly Speaker for any formal negotiations. He visited to condone the death of the speaker’s sister. He, however, expressed optimistic remarks regarding the speaker’s possible role in facilitating talks between the government and the opposition. “It would benefit everyone if the NA speaker plays a constructive role in arranging talks,” noted Ayub.

Pointing out that the political dialogue is really important at this time, Ayub said that PTI is now a force that cannot be neglected in the political scenario. “The country cannot progress without political dialogue,” highlighted Ayub, further mentioning PTI’s significant focus on key demands such as the release of political prisoners and forming a judicial commission to investigate the happenings on May 9.
The announcement marks the initiation of PTI’s dealings about the political impasse as well as grounding the cooperative effort by many to steer the country ahead into prosperity.
