On Friday, Omar Ayub, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, called for the immediate release of founder Imran Khan along with other party leaders and workers held under detention. Addressing the press, Ayub reiterated PTI’s position regarding negotiations with the government, stating that the party had already placed its demands, including the release of its members as well as a judicial inquiry regarding the events of May 9 and November 26.

He demanded giving access to Imran Khan for PTI leaders as he has been in Adiala Jail for months. Ayub condemned the detention of the former prime minister, terming them illegal and baseless.
This, he said, will continue until the supremacy of the constitution and law actually the lack of which, he further noted, has always been advocated by Imran Khan.
