In a meeting between Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong on Thursday in Islamabad, both countries reaffirmed their agreement to enhance cooperation in different fields.

The two discussed further ideas about an area of bilateral importance and how to make those countries grow even closer. The envoy relayed best wishes from the Chinese leadership to President Zardari and also sent him a New Year card from President Xi Jinping, denoting the very deep bond between the two countries.
This bilateral engagement featured Senator Saleem Mandviwala and some senior government officials.
