With the assistance of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), significant growth in Pakistan agricultural exports has occurred in Pakistan. Recently, Pakistan reached another export milestone by sending the first consignment of tractors to East Africa; the tractors were sent to Tanzania. This is a testament that Pakistan is strengthening its global trade partnerships.
The Pakistani government also sought ties with Masai Trekta based in Kenya and Tanzania to promote Pakistani agricultural machinery in Tanzania markets. This partnership will stand as evidence of how Pakistan is gaining influence in global trade.

The SIFC’s efforts did reap results since Pakistan at its historical best earned $4 billion in rice footmarks. According to Shahjehan Malik, an official at the SIFC, it is expected that the rice export target for the next fiscal year will be $5 billion. The complete plan is likely to focus research on modern seeds and the promotion of standards for agricultural practice. The importance of Basmati rice from Pakistan was also mentioned by Malik in the context of the global market for it is of superior quality.
Pakistan has exported a volume of 6.4 million tons across different rice varieties to the value of $4 billion earned in FY2024. Rice export and the export milestone of tractors have presented that Pakistan is retaining its potential to meet the export targets.
