Pakistan and Belarus Discuss Bilateral Relations

Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, met his Belarusian counterpart Maxim Ryzhenkov today and discussed the salience of bilateral ties while reaffirming their commitment to mutual cooperation. This meeting was held according to an APP report on Monday.

The ministers deliberated on bilateral and regional issues and have also drawn the agenda for today’s visit of President Lukashenko to Pakistan, as stated in a Foreign Office press release.

The ministers were satisfied with the pace of bilateral exchanges and high-level visits between the two countries and were hopeful that President Lukashenko’s visit would further strengthen their relations.

They also discussed the important regional and global developments, including the Middle-East situation, and expressed support for peaceful conflict resolution and the need for a coordinated approach to humanitarian issues in Gaza.

Both sides flagged intense cooperation through international and regional organizations to promote mutual interests and work jointly to address global challenges.
