Recently, Pakistan Navy Ship PNS Zulfiquar conducted a Passage Exercise with the Republic of Korea Navy Ship WANG GEON in the North Arabian Sea. Under Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) task forces CTF-150 and CTF-151, the ships conducted their tactical maneuvers and communication drills to develop operational interoperability and reinforce professional links with the two navies.

The exercise was primarily designed to deter illicit maritime activities like piracy and drug trafficking that could endanger security in international waters. Both navies reiterated their pledges to continued maritime security and cooperation because of the region’s strategic importance. The successful passage exercise highlights the ever-deepening ties between Pakistan and the Republic of Korea in an effort to continue supporting global maritime stability.
