Pakistan is more than eager to bolster its relationship with Tajikistan as per Minister for Power Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari. Speaking here at the 7th session of the Pakistan-Tajikistan Joint Commission, the minister said there was a need to explore new avenues of cooperation in the commercial and economic fields for both countries.

Leghari was hopeful that the discussion at this meeting would bring together concrete recommendations to take the relationship forward in trade, energy, agriculture, education, and industry. He observed that the trade potential between Pakistan and Tajikistan is enormous.
On this score, and underlining the concern for regional connectivity, Minister Leghari invited Tajikistan to take advantage of the two trade corridors-the Dushanbe-Gwadar and Karachi-Gwadar-to boost economic ties.
