Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering cooperative relations with all its neighbors, including India. At a weekly news briefing in Islamabad, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch emphasized Pakistan’s consistent advocacy for constructive engagement and dialogue to resolve outstanding issues, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
However, she pointed out that the political will to resolve disputes seems lacking on India’s part. Pakistan, she said, believes in peaceful co-existence and seeks peace and stability in the region, acting responsibly despite bilateral challenges. She urged India to create a conducive environment for advancing peace and dialogue and resolving longstanding disputes.
Baloch also voiced concerns over the continued seizure of properties of Kashmiri people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. She highlighted that these actions are part of an ongoing drive to confiscate Kashmiri lands and properties to harass and intimidate the Kashmiri people for their dissenting political views.

She called on Indian authorities to end the campaign of seizing properties and abide by its international obligations as an occupying power.
Expressing deep concerns over recent developments in Syria, Baloch stated that the ongoing situation would further destabilize the region and embolden terrorist groups. She emphasized the need to promote peace and security in Syria for regional stability, calling for international efforts to de-escalate the situation and uphold the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Syria.
