Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s aggression towards Syria and the illegal occupation of any Syrian territory. According to Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the assault on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria amounts to a serious breach of international law. She stressed that Israel’s provocative actions are indeed a dangerous phenomenon in an already volatile region.

Baloch reiterated Pakistan’s support for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and his rejection of Israel’s occupation through the use of force. She also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to UN Security Council Resolution 497, which declares the annexation of the Golan Heights by Israel as “null and void and without international legal effect.” The spokesperson called on the international community, notably the United Nations Security Council, to take concrete action immediately and decisively to eliminate Israel’s impunity for its continued violations of international law.
Baloch also reiterated that there can be no peace in the Middle East without total withdrawal by Israel from occupied Palestine and other occupied territories, including the Syrian Golan.
