Chaudhry Salik declared during a meeting with a delegation from China led by the head of OPH’s healthcare project, Ms. Scarlet-that the government was committed to advancing skills for the global labor market.
The GAREA Group realized its proposal to support affordable healthcare services in remote areas using AI cloud computing. It can significantly save costs and also provide basic aids for diagnosis. This includes a portable diagnostic machine that can diagnose seven to eight types of diseases and, thus, greatly saves transportation costs and increases reach for patients. The initiative is also equipped with a digital platform for the flow of communication between patients, doctors, and medical stores to improve the efficiency of prescription and test report sharing.

This initiative has already given some great results in Indonesia where the ratio of daily patient check-ups by doctors increased from 8 to 37. Appreciating the project, the minister remarked that the government was committed to making available digital skills to people.
Furthermore, three levels of certification were discussed with the delegation for skills development.
- Huawei Certified ICT Associate (HCIA): A two-week course.
- Huawei Certified ICT Professional (HCIP): A one-month course.
- Huawei Certified ICT Expert (HCIE): A six-month course.
The meeting ended with the future signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between OPH and the Ministry of Health, aimed at improving skilling and healthcare.
