“Remittances are expected to be over USd 35 billion in the ongoing fiscal year (FY24) as stated by the Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb on Wednesday.”
He was addressing an important meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee in the federal capital.
“The economy has taken the right path due to the crucial and timely measures implemented,” the minister stated while citing very recent productive developments in the economy, thanks to the major reforms undertaken by the government.

Denoting some important milestones, Aurangzeb said that there is a current account surplus after almost a decade of internal recovery in the export sector and that inflation is at its lowest point in six years. He further emphasized the need to maintain the policy rate at 13 percent in order to ensure economic stability.
The financial minister also mentioned that business confidence is reflected in the five percent sales growth of cement. He is optimistic and reiterates the commitment of the government to continue the reform and stability agenda designed to achieve the economic transformation of Pakistan.
