Pakistan Petroleum saw a year-on-year rise of 15% in sales from its Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), touching 1.58 million tons in November 2024. The sales volume has been the highest for over 25 months, as per Topline Securities.
High-speed diesel sales achieved a 30-month peak as prices were reduced and smuggling diminished. Offtake of MS petrol rose 17 percent year-on-year at 0.6 million tons. EX-FO sales rose by 19 percent to reach 1.54 million tons in November 2024, while the five-month fiscal year 2025 sales of EX-FO stood at 6.45 million tons, an 8 percent increase over last year.
Compared to October, petroleum sales went up by 6 percent in November 2024, and no change was recorded in MS sales. Dispatches of EX-FO have increased to 7 percent of total monthly sales of HSD, which increased by 15 percent month-on-month.

For the first five months of the 2025 fiscal year, total sales of petroleum products increased by five percent over the previous year and reached 6.75 million tons.
On a company basis, PSO reported an increase of 12% on an annual basis and achieved 0.79 million tons in sales in November 2024. PSO’s MS grew 15%, while FO dispatches plummeted by 83%. SHEL+12%, APL+8%, HASCOL+6%.
In the first five months of the fiscal year 2025, petroleum sales of APL and PSO dropped by 10 percent and 4 percent year-on-year, whereas SHEL and HASCOL registered gains of 6 percent and 15 percent, respectively.
