Pakistan has been ranked 198 in the internet speed ranking as per the World Population Review report. It stands lower than several countries like Palestine, Bhutan, Ghana, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, and Libya.
The average download speed of mobile internet in the country was 19.59 Mbps, and that of broadband internet was 15.52 Mbps. The UAE leads all countries in mobile and broadband internet speed, followed closely by Singapore for mobile and Qatar for broadband. Hong Kong and Chile follow suit, ranking 3rd and 4th, respectively, in mobile internet speed.

Sajjad Mustafa Syed, Chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), remarked that the internet speed problems currently being faced will be resolved in the next three months. He also mentioned that some of these problems could arise out of the window implementation, which may adversely affect connectivity.
Intermittent outages occurred, affecting data speed for parts of the nation, and making it very challenging to browse the internet, download, and share any kind of media. Both W-fis and mobile networking experienced major slowdowns, which deprived users of the ability to send or receive any form of media such as images, videos, or voice notes on applications like WhatsApp.
