The patient was transferred to Services Hospital Peshawar after the onset of symptoms. The Ministry of Health assures the public that adequate measures to control the virus are in place.

The patient’s travel history has raised concerns about possible transmission routes from the Gulf. In a separate case, another patient arriving from Sharjah developed symptoms of monkeypox and subsequently tested positive upon medical screening.
Monkeypox follows the Mpox virus, wherein fever occurs first with subsequent rash formation in distinct stages. Other associated symptoms include headache, muscle pains, and lymphadenopathy.
Health authorities are monitoring the situation closely and have urged the public to keep wary.
