Pakistan won their first T20I by beating Zimbabwe by 57 runs at Bulawayo on Sunday.
After winning the toss, Pakistan opted to bat first and put up a total of 165/4 in their 20 overs. To this, Zimbabwe could only respond with 108 runs, with their captain Sikandar Raza being the top-scorer with 39 runs.
Pakistan’s Muqeem and Abrar Ahmed were the loudest noises of the match taking three wickets each to fold the Zimbabweans at bat.

Openers Umair Yousuf (16) and Saim Ayub (24) had a quiet start as it was at 57 runs when the second wicket fell to Pakistan. Usman Khan chipped in with a valuable 39 runs, while captain Salman Ali Agha continued with 13. Tayyab Tahir (39*) and Irfan Khan (27*) were rock solid for an undefeated partnership to take the team to a competitive score.
Paired by Salman Ali Agha, Pakistan now revealed it’s playing XI before the game.
Though in the past both teams have played 18 T20Is where Pakistan is leading the tally with 16 while Zimbabwe could just win on 2 occasions.
