PIA faces operational hurdles

According to the aviation authorities, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) experienced major operational catastrophes last Saturday, leading to the cancellation of four flights and affecting an additional 36 flights.

The canceled flights included PK325 and PK326 (Islamabad to Quetta), along with PK233 (Islamabad to Dubai), and PK331 (Multan to Karachi).

Many of those whose time was wasted included PK310 and PK311, traveling to Quetta, both of which showed a delay of about 4.5 hours. Delays were also found among several international flights, those to Dubai, Jeddah, and Medina, along with Istanbul from Karachi.

Flight PK245 was delayed for 12.5 hours from Islamabad to Dammam, whereas PK767 was held for more than one and a half hours from Quetta to Jeddah.

The authorities are working to resolve the problems that have been encountered.
