Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif approved an allocation of a whopping PKR 62 billion keeping in mind the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ – Own Roof, Own Home- initiative, which aimed at affordable housing.
During a special meeting, it was discussed that nearly 5,000 citizens have already availed of loans, while over 4,200 houses are nearing completion in the province. My Chief Minister, ambitious, directed everyone to facilitate 40,000 people with housing loans before May and asked officials to speed up the disbursement of loans.

She also directed them to consider increasing this limit to 1.5-2 million. “It will also treat home ownership as a basic right, she said.Those homeless should get shelter,” said Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Besides, the government will also deliver completed houses to needy families in association with RUDA and the Housing & Urban Development Department.
