PKR Appreciates Against USD to Start December

Pakistan Rupee PKR opens trade with USD today to be in green at the start of December, with 278 closed at the intra-day interbank market.

Lived daily during the trading session and still ended on green despite keeping its ground on yesterday’s level against the greenback. Meanwhile, it hit gains against all other major currencies during today’s session.

Staying most of the day at the 278 level, the interbank rate closed lower at the 277 level. Open market rates across multiple currency counters at the 277-281 mark remain today.

The PKR appreciated by 0.03 percent and closed at 277.97 after gaining seven paisas against the US Dollar today.

During the fiscal year to date, the rupee has been so far appreciated by 0.14 percent.

In the interbank market today, PKR was in green against all the remaining major currencies.

It appreciated by two paisas against the Saudi Riyal (SAR) and by one paisa against the UAE Dirham (AED).

It read well against the Canadian dollar (CAD) gaining 68 paisas.

It gained Rs. 1.99 against the Euro (EUR) and 79 paisas against the British Pound (GBP).

Today, the rupee fell down to 96 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD) at the interbank currency market.
