By doing so, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will soon set out to Saudi Arabia on a two-day visit for the “One Water Summit” to be held in Riyadh. This summit, as defined by Saudi Arabia, France, Kazakhstan, and the World Bank, would usher in global cooperation and a unified international approach to the management of water resources through high-level political commitments.
In this Summit, the Prime Minister will deliberately address an important keynote Roundtable on restoration, preservation, and adaptation in the context of freshwater resources and wetlands. The address will lay emphasis on water conservation, climate resilience, improvement of water quality, livelihood creation, and biodiversity conservation in Pakistan.

The Prime Minister will also place attention on international cooperation as a means to visibly improve the scenario against climate-induced floods erratic weather patterns and heat stress on water and ecosystems. Additionally, he is expected to meet and talk with Saudi ministers during his trip to strengthen economic ties.
This is the third visit of the Prime Minister to Saudi Arabia in two months.
